Fiestas Patrias is a Spanish phrase meaning Patriotic Holidays or National Holidays. It refers to the celebration of the independence of Mexico, Chile and Guatemala. In Mexico it’s not only the celebration for independence, but it can be also called the Month of the Motherland, (Mes de la Patria).
Come and join us for our annual (month of September) Fiestas Patrias event in the City of Santa Ana’s historic downtown. The streets are filled with food booths, merchandise, arts and cultural booths and a large main stage showcasing traditional dances, youth performers and artists such Maribel la Guardia, Fidel Rueda, El Dasa and many more.
In addition, Fiestas Patrias will include its annual parade, with High Schools marching bands, horses and floats representing cultural pride from Mexico.
